Recorded live on the evening of 8/7/25
Just taking a break from thinking about immigration enforcement on a Wednesday night to work through some original chill piano arrangements of some tunes from Neil Young, the Dead, Bjork,1 Radiohead, Slowdive, the Beatles,2 Nirvana, et al that you can leave on in the background while you’re doing other things. (Also a couple of listener requests sprinkled in there, including “Free Bird.”3 )
Thanks to the many people who jumped on to this spontaneous live session to listen in and chat—it’s so much more fun to get some practice in when I have company! I’ll do it again sometime soon.
This was somehow the first time I had ever sat down and tried “All Is Full of Love” and it was my favorite of the night (starts around 1:00:55)
check out the extra spacey version of “Come Together” at 30:20 in honor of this week’s OA episode on Timothy Leary’s legal troubles
henceforth let it be known that if you request “Free Bird,” I will play “Free Bird” (14:30). (As also happened here, I will probably play Neil Young’s “Alabama” just to balance things out)
